Arg!

Well, I have good news and bad news. The good news is that I have FINALLY begun to feel contractions, the kind that squeeze your belly not just the crampy feeling that I am familiar with. The bad news is that Kenny and I ended up at the hospital on Monday night, thinking that I was in labor. The contractions were almost exactly four minutes apart and increasing in intensity. And then we get to the hospital and they hook me up to the monitor and suddenly the intensity starts decreasing. They were still spaced pretty evenly, but for some reason they faded away into oblivion. And then after that, I had some stomach and intestine pyrotechnics, presumably brought about by the contractions. It's getting a little frustrating because, even though I'm still a week and a half ahead of my due date, I keep hearing that I could go at anytime. And I don't know many people who are 4 cm dilated and not actually in labor. Plus, while, I am feeling contractions, there aren't that many and they aren't that intense. I wonder how far they will let me dilate before they realize that my body isn't going to do it on its own. I can see me in the doctor's office at 41 weeks and 6 or 7 cm dilated with no labor in sight... It's just that it's hard to be patient when even the doctors keep saying I could go at anytime and that it's amazing I'm this far dilated and not in labor. Plus, the timing right now is perfect because of my spring break. I can go into labor now and not have to worry about missing classes in the meantime. Oh well, I'm beginning to realize that he's on his own timeline and will be here whenever he is good and ready, everybody else's beliefs be damned...

Aww Honey - It'll be okay, once that baby is born you'll not even think about classes. I'll keep my fingers crossed and would be free to treat you to any spicy food you think you're baby would like to have as his last meal :-P Good luck!

I told you the wait at the end is the worst! Hopefully, you'll be early instead of late. :D (Or you will already have had baby Jones when you read this!) YOU CAN DO IT!!
